Mean Girls: The Musical Raffle –
Official Rules

Purpose

All raffle proceeds support drama education and performances in the Mercer Island School District. Funds help with sets, costumes, rights, equipment, and other production needs for current and future shows.

Ticket Details

• Price: $5 each or 5 tickets for $25 (or 4 tickets for $20)

• Sales Period: September 1, 2025 – November 22, 2025 (or until all prizes are awarded)

• Where to Buy: Available from MISDB representatives at select rehearsals, performances, and community events

• Tickets must be physically purchased from an individual and must be filled out with contact information including phone / text and email to qualify to win. Winner keeps 1/2 the ticket and the other 1/2 goes into a MISDB box, collected prior to each show. 

• Payment Methods: Cash or check made out to MISDB (no credit cards)
   

Who Can Enter

• Must be 18 years or older to purchase or claim a prize

• Board members and their immediate family may purchase tickets and win prizes

• Tickets are non-refundable

• No limit to number of tickets purchased per person or family

How the Drawing Works

• All tickets will be placed in a large raffle box

• Drawings will take place before selected performances, including opening and closing night

• Drawings may be held live or asynchronously

• Winning tickets will be pulled at random by an MISDB representative, witnessed by at least two people

• Ticket holders will be notified of their win via text, email, and phone

• Winning ticket numbers will not be posted publicly, but MISDB will keep a record—please contact us by email for verification

Prizes

• Several prizes will be awarded during the show season

• Prizes will be individual items or prize packages valued between $100 and $599

• Gift cards or gift certificates may be bundled together to create larger prize packages (up to $599 each)

• All prizes will be distributed digitally as e-gift cards or digital gift certificates

• Prize types include those from local and nearby businesses on and around Mercer Island who are helping support our local arts. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Beauty, nails, hair, and fitness services

  • Health and wellness offerings

  • Dining, coffee, and specialty food experiences

  • In-kind certificates for merchandise or services

  • Gift cards for entertainment or special experiences

• Digital certificates will include:

  • Business name and location

  • Prize description

  • Any exclusions or expiration dates

  • Contact information for scheduling or follow-up

• MISDB will keep a digital copy of each certificate on file

• No substitutions, cash redemptions, or exchanges will be made

• Winners may gift their prize to another person 18 or older

• A full list of prizes and donors will be available on MISDB.org
   

Claiming Your Prize

• Winners must claim prizes within 30 days of notification

• Unclaimed prizes will be used for future MISDB fundraising events

• Winners are responsible for any taxes or reporting requirements
   

Other Information

• This raffle is conducted under the Washington State Gambling Commission’s license-exempt rules for charitable and nonprofit organizations (gross annual raffle income under $5,000)

• MISDB reserves the right to make final decisions regarding the raffle and prize distribution
